Shaping the World of Epigenomics
IHEC Annual Meeting 2015 in Tokyo, Japan
From November 16-18, 2015 the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) and the CREST Team led by Dr Yae Kanai hosted this year’s annual meeting of the International Human Epigenome Consortium (IHEC) and welcomed scientists and funding agency representatives from around the globe to Tokyo, Japan.
The three-day meeting in Tokyo offered various sessions including country updates, workgroup meetings and reports as well as the open IHEC Science Day, which provided high-level talks by renowned researchers on their latest findings in epigenomics.
IHEC is a global consortium with the primary goal of providing free access to high-resolution reference human epigenome maps for normal and disease cell types to the research community. EURICE is part of a communication unit which supports IHEC communication activities in Europe through the German epigenome programme “DEEP” and the large-scale European research project “BLUEPRINT”, two key partners of the IHEC umbrella.
