1st MOVE Progress Meeting & WP 3 Workshop

MOVE partners meet in Hildesheim for two days of fruitful discussions

On May 25-27, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schröer and his team welcomed the MOVE Consortium on the premises of Hildesheim University for the first Progress Meeting. In two fruitful and productive days, the partners discussed the latest work performed in the project, planned future steps and pushed forward the work in Work Package 3 in a creative workshop. During coffee break, they even found some time to do gymnastics and some partners were lucky enough to see the 1.000 year old rose of Hildesheim in full bloom.

WP 3 Workshop in the afternoon session

Already on Wednesday evening, most of the Consortium partners from Luxembourg, Romania, Spain, Hungary, Norway and Germany had arrived in Hildesheim and took the opportunity to learn more about the city and its moving history during a guided tour organised by the UH team, which was followed by a first joint dinner in the old town.

After a short status update of each work package, the partners focused on the sampling and discussed the results of the secondary analysis of macro data of youth mobility in Europe and the partner countries. The afternoon session was reserved for a first part of the Work Package 3 Workshop. Working together in their mobility couples, the partners started to develop a coding frame guided by Alice and Andreas from Hildesheim University.

Intense discussions strengthening the collaboration

On meeting day two, the mobility couples presented their results before part II of the WP3 Workshop started and the Consortium members grouped up again to discuss and specify the sensitizing of the research questions. Afterwards, the Consortium prepared the field for the survey launch and Alice and Andreas gave an insight into the software used for the case studies. A great group lunch in a very familiar atmosphere at Enzo’s was followed by the afternoon session and the Steering Committee and General Assembly meetings in which the partners discussed joint conferences and agreed on new publication materials to be produced.

Altogether, the meeting was a great success and all participants used the opportunity to have intense discussions strengthening the collaboration in the project.

Eurice is management partner in MOVE and supports the consortium in the implementation of its work and the dissemination of the project results.
