Controlling Indoor Air Quality: SENSIndoor Project Clip Released

Clip shows achievements and impressions of the three-year project work

While the project is slowly coming to an end, the consortium of the EU research project SENSIndoor has released a clip showing some of the steps taken towards the development of a smart sensor system for measuring indoor air quality. The clip highlights aspects of the work achieved in the project and introduces some of the partners involved. Animations have been added to explain the functionality and packaging process of the sensor system.

As the partner responsible for the SENSIndoor project management and communication, the Eurice team has accompanied the complete production process including the interviews, filming phase and animation conception.

The project SENSIndoor was launched in 2014 with the main goal of enabling demand controlled indoor ventilation through a nanotechnology-based smart sensor system. The 10 partners from different EU countries use a unique approach of combining a sensor with a preconcentrator to boost sensitivity and selectivity of the sensor system. In addition to research institutes, the early engagement of industrial project partners ensured a high technical readiness level and the scalability of the product.

The three-year project was funded by the European Commission’s Seventh Framework Programme.

The clip is available on the SENSIndoor website.

As the project ends in December, the SENSIndoor consortium will gather for a final meeting in SaarbrĂĽcken on 14-16 November. The meeting will include two public sessions featuring a presentation of project results to the interested public. More information can be found online.
