First in-person meeting since project start: HIPPOCRATES Steering Committee meet face to face in Leuven

From the 17th until the 18th of March, the HIPPOCRATES Steering Committee had their first in-person meeting since the project began in July 2021, which coincided with the COVID-19 lockdown. The Steering Committee had met only virtually for the past nine months. The EURICE team were absolutely delighted to finally meet up with other partners in the HIPPOCRATES project and had two successful and productive meeting days.

Complying with all COVID-19 safety requirements, 19 members of the Steering Committee met at the University of Leuven, Belgium, where the meeting was kindly hosted by partner KU Leuven (KUL). The meeting was held over the space of two days and was also streamed online for those members who could not take part in person.

While one aim of the meeting was to finally get to know each other, the two days were also used to set the stage for the end of the first year of the project. This included defining the next steps in the technical Work Packages, defining the key action points for the next months and also the true importance of working closely with all Patient Research Partners (PRPs) and EFPIA partners.

It was a short but very important meeting for the HIPPOCRATES Steering Committee members. The Steering Committee will continue to meet virtually for now but are already looking forward to attending the General Assembly in Basel, Switzerland in September 2022. EURICE is looking forward to push ahead in all areas of project management, communication, dissemination and exploitation in relation to the mission of the HIPPOCRATES project over the next year.
