Creating Values!
...was not only the overall theme of the workshop “Exploitation of EU Project Results with a Focus on IP in the Field of Health and Biotechnology” held in Prague on May 10-11, but also reflected the focus of the seven crisp lectures provided by a selection of exploitation management experts in the field of IP, technology transfer and innovation management. The event was jointly organised by the two Eurice flagship projects Fit for Health 2.0 and the European IPR Helpdesk in close cooperation with the Enterprise Europe Network and received very positive feedback by the participants.
Based on a very practical and comprehensive training approach, participants were made familiar with central concepts and strategies of how to turn intellectual assets into value-creating innovations and increase the impact of their project results.
Using concrete examples of competitive intelligence planning like research data management or IP analytics, Eurice CEO Jörg Scherer and Dr Eugene Sweeney explained how to develop the right innovation management structure in the context of collaborative research projects.
IP analytics are of ever-increasing importance, not only in the field of strategic business development but also in the framework of EU-funded projects, as consortia are officially obliged to both; first to identify their key exploitable results and to ensure their proper use.
