New Horizon Report: Eurice Ranks 1st in German SMEs
European Commission reports general increase in SME participation
The European Commission has just published its second Monitoring Report on the implementation of Horizon 2020. According to this recent evaluation, Eurice belongs to the Top 5 of SMEs in Europe regarding the number of signed agreements – ranking first among German SMEs. The Horizon 2020 Monitoring Report 2015 covers 91 calls considering 4,263 grant agreements signed before 1 September 2016.
The document describes a general increase in proposals by 25 per cent. In 2014 and 2015, almost €16 billion have been allocated to over 9,000 research and innovation projects that boost excellent science, create industrial leadership and tackle societal challenges. In total, the programme attracted about 76,000 eligible proposals.
Since the implementation of the Horizon 2020 framework programme, Eurice has been a partner in 21 Horizon projects in the fields of food and biotechnology, healthcare and medicine, social sciences, innovation support and ICT.
