4th ASTP-EU Forum: Eurice CEO Jörg Scherer Speaking on the State of Play of Intellectual Property Management

The 4th ASTP-EU Forum taking place on 29 November 2022 will focus on topics surrounding knowledge transfer. At the event, CEO and Founder of Eurice, Jörg Scherer, will share some of his major insights with the ASTP community on the European Commission’s Community of Practice for the smart use of IP.

With more than 20 years of experience as a Research & Development Manager and Business Advisor in both the academic and industrial sectors, Jörg Scherer has been the penholder of the Community of Practice's (CoP) subgroup 4 with a focus on intellectual property (IP) and Open Innovation. Several industry and European Commission experts from other CoP subgroups are completing the speaking roster.

Within the area of knowledge transfer, a cultural change is needed urgently. Moving away from the traditional concepts of knowledge transfer and/or technology transfer and from focussing solely on managing IP rights, the broader concept of intellectual asset management is increasingly favoured. The 4th ASTP-EU Forum offers the chance for industry experts and interested parties to discuss recent developments and the future direction of intellectual asset management. The event is offered free of charge and open to all interested participants.
