Eurice Project RURACTIVE Launches Open Call: Seeking Innovators to Develop Novel Solutions for Rural Challenges
Eurice proudly announces that the RURACTIVE project has just launched its Open Call for Innovators. RURACTIVE invites startups, small and medium-sized enterprises as well as researchers to apply for the exciting opportunity to co-develop innovative and smart solutions for the evolution of its 12 rural pilot areas, the RURACTIVE Dynamos. The call for applicants is open until 5 February 2025 and offers the opportunity of up to EUR 90,000 in funding for the development of each solution. Eurice provides its communication expertise in supporting the RURACTIVE Open Call.
The European research project RURACTIVE has set out to empower rural communities to act for change. The RURACTIVE Dynamos have identified local challenges that are particularly pressing for the community in successfully transforming its region into thriving local hubs and centres of innovation. The challenges fall within the scope of the RURACTIVE Rural Development Drivers: Sustainable Agri-food systems and ecosystem management, Sustainable multimodal mobility, Nature-based and cultural tourism, Energy transition and climate neutrality, Culture and cultural innovation, and Local services, Health and wellbeing.
"Every significant transformation begins with an inspired idea! Innovators across Europe have this exciting opportunity to embark on a creative journey that will enhance their innovation potential and help create meaningful impact in rural communities," says Antonija Zrno Ćulap, Senior Project Manager at Eurice’s sister company RISE.
"The Open Call notably welcomes smaller businesses and startups, who can use their creative resources to address important environmental and societal challenges, thereby gaining invaluable experience and a prominent place in the local rural community," she adds.
