How Artists Can Shape Environmental Policymaking: VOICE Project at the New European Bauhaus Festival 2026
Leading outreach activities within the Horizon Europe project VOICE, the EURICE team will host ‘The Power of Artist-Led Interventions for a Sustainable Europe’ on 10 June 2026 in Brussels, as an official Satellite Event of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) Festival 2026. The event will bring together policymakers, artists, researchers, and community representatives to discuss how creative and community-driven approaches can help address environmental challenges and inform European policy priorities.
From local practice to European dialogue
Over the past two years, the VOICE team has supported 20 Art–Technology–Society Interaction (ATSI) initiatives across Europe. These initiatives have worked closely with communities to address environmental challenges such as biodiversity loss, water systems, soil health, and air quality. Their experiences and findings will be translated into policy-relevant insights—highlighting how artist-led, place-based approaches can inform more inclusive and responsive policymaking at the European level.

As a Satellite Event of the NEB Festival, the event contributes to a broader European conversation on sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion. The Festival, organised by the European Commission, brings together stakeholders from across sectors to exchange ideas and showcase innovative approaches to shaping sustainable futures.
