NanoBat goes Turin – First in-person meeting since project launched
Between November 16 and 17, 2021, the NanoBat consortium held their first in-person meeting since the project began in April 2020, which coincided with the first COVID-19 lockdown. For the past 20 months, the project partners have met online. The Eurice team now was all the more excited to finally meet up with other partners in the NanoBat project for productive working sessions in Italy.
Complying with all COVID-19 safety requirements, 10 out of 13 partners took the opportunity to go to Turin, Italy, where the meeting was kindly hosted by partner CRF. The meeting was held in two half-day sessions each including an online feedback slot with the partners that could not be present in person.
While one aim of the meeting clearly was to finally get to know each other, the two days were also used to set the stage for the second half of the project, which included defining the next steps in the technical Work Packages and elaborating on a publication strategy for the upcoming months. The meeting was completed by a visit to the CRF premises. CRF is involved in NanoBat, among other things, in the testing of materials, which made a visit to their laboratories very informative for the project partners.
It was a short but vivid meeting which all partners present enjoyed very much. For now, NanoBat will return to its regular online meeting schedule while hoping for other opportunities next year to meet in person again. Eurice is looking forward to push ahead in all areas of project management, communication, dissemination and exploitation in relation to the NanoBat goals over the next project year.
