Spotlight on B-SMART: Exciting RNA Research Results Featured on European Commission Website
Over more than five years, the recently concluded Horizon 2020 project B-SMART explored novel ways to deliver RNA nanomedicines to the brain to treat neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s. An article on the European Commission’s CORDIS website (available in six languages) now presents the compelling outcomes of the project.
The article highlights how B-SMART partners overcame the challenge of crossing the barrier to the brain, features insights from project coordinator Professor Raymond Schiffelers (UMCU), and explains how the B-SMART findings feed into other research endeavours, such as the EXPERT project, which Prof. Schiffelers also coordinates.
Eurice is involved in both projects as project management partner and is responsible for steering the communication, dissemination and exploitation activities.
