Unpacking the Possibilities of Intellectual Properties for Open Science
- Description
IP4OS (Intellectual Property for Open Science) is a two-year project funded by the European Union supporting researchers, universities, and innovators in managing intellectual property (IP) in ways that align with Open Science principles. The project promotes a complementary approach, linking IP tools with the sharing of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Re-usable) research outputs such as data, results, and software.
Its main activities include:
- Developing multi-professional teams to support IP in Open Science
- Providing training, tools, and guidelines
- Raising awareness of responsible IP practices in collaborative research
Through these activities, IP4OS contributes to strengthening the European Research Area by facilitating openness, collaboration, and knowledge circulation.
