Which sources and data are used?
We process personal data (Art. 4, no. 2 GDPR) that you provide to us in relation to your application.
Why do we process your data (purpose of processing) and what is the legal basis?
We process personal data in accordance with the provisions under the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG)).
The data that you provide to us in relation to your application will be processed within the scope of the recruitment process and in preparation of a potential employment.
To meet contractual obligations (Art. 6, para. 1 letter B GDPR)
Art. 6, para. 1 letter B and Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with § 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG)), as amended on May 25, 2018, form the basis for the processing of your personal data within the application process. In accordance therewith, the processing of those data is admissible which are required to take a decision on the initiation of an employment contract. By sending your application you consent to the processing of your data for this purpose.
Who will receive my data?
Within the European Research and Project Office GmbH, your data will be transferred to those persons that are in charge of the recruitment process (e.g. Management, Human Resources).
Your personal data will not be transmitted to any third party.
How long will my data be stored?
In case of a rejection, the applicant’s data will be erased six months after sending the rejection.
In case that you agree to a further storage of your personal data, we will keep your data for a duration of two years after the completion of the recruitment process. In this case, please include in your application a written statement with the following content: “I agree that the data that I transmit within the scope of the recruitment process will be stored for the duration of two years after the completion of the recruitment process. It was pointed out to me that this consent is given voluntarily and does not affect my changes in the current recruitment process. I may revoke this consent at any time for the future. In this case, my data will be erased immediately.”
In case of an employment, the personal data will be stored for the duration of the employment contract.
Will my data be transmitted to a third country or international organisation?
In principle there is no transmission of your data to any third country (countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA)).
